WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production)

What is WRAP

The Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) is a non-profit organization that focuses on promoting safe, ethical, and socially responsible manufacturing practices in the global supply chain. WRAP's main goal is to ensure that factories and manufacturing facilities comply with its set of guidelines and principles, fostering better working conditions and sustainable production processes.

WRAP certification is recognized internationally and demonstrates a commitment to responsible and ethical manufacturing. To achieve WRAP certification, a factory or facility must undergo an audit process to ensure compliance with the organization's 12 principles, which cover areas such as labor practices, workplace conditions, environmental standards, and legal compliance.

The 12 WRAP principles include:

  • Compliance with Laws and Workplace Regulations
  • Prohibition of Forced Labor
  • Prohibition of Child Labor
  • Prohibition of Harassment or Abuse
  • Compensation and Benefits
  • Hours of Work
  • Prohibition of Discrimination
  • Health and Safety
  • Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining
  • Environment
  • Customs Compliance
  • Security

Through its certification process, WRAP aims to improve labor conditions, worker safety, and environmental practices in the manufacturing industry. It provides a framework for companies to assess their supply chains, make improvements, and ensure that their products are made under responsible and ethical conditions.

WRAP has gained recognition and credibility in the industry for its efforts to promote responsible production practices and its impact on workers, the environment, and business transparency.
